Over the last twenty years, international business has been drastically affected by global competition as well as the globalization of preferences and business practices. The nature of the corporation, rules of competition, industry boundaries, and political realities are all factors that are undergoing rapid change. Consequently, managing workers and companies across borders have become very difficult tasks for corporations everywhere. This course should help you to develop the ability to analyze and evaluate managerial practices and performance in different cultures and business environments. There will be a comparison of the relevant environmental constraints-sociological, legal, political, economic-which significantly affect managerial activities of firms involved in international business around the globe. This course is geared to provide theoretical and applied market research experience to students, managers and consultants.
